Magic Edit is our new image-to-image editing flow. It lets you change parts of an existing image by typing what you want to edit.
This is an easy way to adjust a creation without writing a full new Prompt. However, Magic Edit is still in Beta, so not everything is editable yet and some edits may not work as expected.
Note: If you want to Save your edited Creation, press “Cancel Edit” after the generation has completed to access the Save Button. This flow will be adjusted shortly.
Magic Edit works best for small, clear changes. Sweeping edits are not recommended, especially when they affect large parts of the image or multiple subjects at once.
Magic Edit is best used for minor changes to the base image. We also highly suggest using the brush to mask over the area you want to edit too. See: Applying Multiple Magic Edits
For any generation issues, overcooking, artefacts, tinting, etc. save the creation and contact our Support team for assistance and refund.

What Magic Edit Does
Magic Edit starts from an existing creation and tries to change the part of the image you describe.
You type what you want to change, and Magic Edit adjusts the image based on that instruction.
It works best when:
- The subject is clearly visible
- The detail you want to change is easy to identify
- You request one clear change at a time
It may be less reliable when:
- You request several changes at once
- The image contains multiple people
- The requested change affects the whole image
- The image has already been edited many times
Note: Magic Edit is still a work in progress. We will keep improving it over time and may introduce better Engines or tools in future updates.
How to Use Magic Edit
Create an image or open an existing creation.
Create a new image or open one of your existing creations.
Select Edit Image.
Click Edit Image to open Magic Edit.
Type what you want to change.
Type one clear instruction describing what you want to change. Click Generate to apply the requested change.
Review the result.
Check whether the correct detail changed and the rest of the image stayed consistent. Save the edited image if you want to keep it or make another edit.
Write a Clear Edit Instruction
Magic Edit works best when your instruction clearly says what should change.
Use this simple formula:
Change [Character you want]’s [attribute] to [what you want to change it to]
You can also use the same format for scene changes:
Change the scene’s [attribute] to [what you want to change it to]
Note: Sweeping edits are not recommended.
Formula Examples
Change the character’s race to Latina, light brown skin, warm skin tone, Latin American features.
Change the character’s age to adult woman, 35 years old, mature woman, defined facial features.
Change the character’s hair color to black hair, jet black hair, dark hair, glossy highlights.
Change the character’s subject modifier to cyborg, mechanical limbs, glowing circuits, futuristic character.
Change the character’s arm pose to arms raised, both arms up, hands above head, exposed armpits.
Change the character’s breast size to huge breasts, large breasts, heavy breasts, deep cleavage.
Edit One Detail at a Time
Magic Edit is more reliable when you change one detail at a time.
For best results:
- Request one clear change
- Review the result before editing again
- Save a good version before continuing
- Avoid combining appearance, pose, clothing, and background changes in one edit
Small edits are usually more stable than large edits.
Avoid Sweeping Edits (Where Possible)
Sweeping edits are not recommended.
Examples of sweeping edits include:
- Changing a major visual trait across the whole image
- Changing several attributes at once
- Changing the appearance of a subject in a crowded image
- Making a large scene-wide change
These edits are more likely to:
- Affect nearby parts of the image
- Change more than you intended
- Reduce image quality
- Cause distortion
If possible, break a big change into smaller edits.
Editing Images With Multiple Subjects
Magic Edit can be less reliable when an image contains more than one person.
Broad edits such as skin color, hair color, clothing, or body changes may spread to both subjects instead of only the one you meant to edit.
For example, changing one character’s hair color or skin tone may also affect another person in the image.
To reduce this:
- Identify the subject clearly
- Use phrases like the character on the right or the woman in front
- Test one edit first
- Use single-subject images when possible
Example:
Change the character on the right’s hair color to jet black hair.
Applying Multiple Magic Edits
You can apply more than one Magic Edit to the same image, but repeated edits may reduce reliability.
Each new edit may cause:
- Important details to disappear
- Colors to shift
- Background elements to change
- Image quality to drop
- The overall image to drift away from the original
There is no fixed edit limit, but repeated chaining can cause problems over time.
For best results:
- Keep chained edits to a minimum
- Save each successful version
- Compare the current result with the original
- Go back to an earlier version if the image starts to drift
Known Beta Limitations
Because Magic Edit is still in Beta, some issues may happen.
Common limitations
- Not every detail can be edited reliably
- Large edits may affect more than one part of the image
- Multiple-subject images may cause edit contamination
- Repeated edits may reduce image quality
- Color shifts or unwanted tints may appear after several edits
- Major pose or composition changes may not work well
- Hidden or unclear features may be hard to edit
If the edit does not work as expected:
- Simplify the instruction.
- Request only one change.
- Identify the subject more clearly.
- Return to the original image or an earlier successful edit.
- Try again with a smaller or more specific change.
- Avoid repeating the same unsuccessful edit without changing the instruction.
