Images generated with X or XL Styles may occasionally appear distorted because of excessive Prompt Strength, conflicting Tags, or a temporary generation issue.
You may also experience some unexpected visual artefacts like the overcooking or 'body paint' shown above.
XL Styles are more advanced than X Styles, but the troubleshooting steps below apply to both.
Reduce the Prompt Strength
A high Prompt Strength may overemphasize your instructions and cause distorted or overprocessed results.
Lower the Prompt Strength and generate the Image again. You can also remove the Prompt Strength completely to check whether it is causing the issue.
To emphasize one specific detail without increasing the strength of the entire Prompt:
- Place the most important detail near the beginning of your Custom Prompt.
- Use brackets to apply light emphasis to that detail only.
This method can be used with both positive and negative Prompts.
Remove Some Tags
Using several Tags together may create conflicting instructions and cause visual distortion.
Deselect some Tags and try generating the Image again.
You can also remove all selected Tags and use only a Custom Prompt. This can help you determine whether a specific Tag or a combination of Tags is causing the issue.
Try the Generation Again
If reducing the Prompt Strength and removing Tags do not resolve the issue, wait a few minutes and retry the generation.

Copy the Creation Link
Select Share and copy the provided link.
Open the Link in a New Tab
Paste the link into a new browser tab and try the generation again.
Request a One-Time Refund
If none of these solutions work, then this is an issue on our end.
Users may request a one-time refund if you repeatedly receive a distorted Image while using an X or XL Style.
Contact Support and provide the Creation link so the generation can be reviewed.
Include:
- Your Email
- Relevant links to the creation(s)
- Full Prompt (Along with Negative Prompts if applicable)
Tips for Better Results
- Begin with a simple Prompt and add details gradually.
- Avoid applying strong emphasis to several Prompt details at once.
- Remove Tags that repeat or conflict with your Custom Prompt.
- Test one change at a time to identify what is causing the distortion.
